Uttamkumar Hathi has over 20 years of professional practice registered as an advocate from 24th March 1992 with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa under Bar Council of India- the governing body for all law practitioners under the Advocates Act, 1961. He had a sterling academic cross functional qualification, having done his graduation Chemistry (B.Sc.) from prestigious St. Xaviers College, Mumbai; post graduation with general management - P.G.D.M.M.T from Sasmira and has received gold medal for achieving first class first for the same; LL.B. from prestigious Government Law College, Mumbai (achieved highest marks in Bombay University for Public International Law); LL.M with Commercial laws (group I &IV) from Government Law College, Mumbai; Then enrolled with prestigious BITS, Pilani for his Ph.D with a topic on finance-bankruptcy.

Having cross functional knowledege with his MBA and doctoral training in finance along with LL.M. in Corporate and Commercia Laws he provides an insight difficult to find in legal profession.

Professionally he pupilaged and trained with senior counsel Sr. Adv. (late) Mr Mahendra Shah as an counsel. (In India one chooses to either be a Counsel or a Solicitor as in Uk where one chooses to either be a Barrister or a Solicitor) As Counsel he attended to matters largely pertaining to corporate and shipping as an appearing counsel. Till date conducts (including appearance as lead counsel) all attendant litigation & arbitration matters himself, teaming with designated senior counsels when required thus attaining cost efficacy to clients

He also practiced with reputed law firms of India and has interalia attained deep knowledge of the practice area Corporate Commercial & Contracts having worked on the gamut of matters contentious and non-contentious pertaining to this practice area

Today, he with BRUS Chambers heading Corporate Commercial & Contracts and attendant practice areas has attained a reputation of precise and concise advise on very tight time schedule and manpower resources thus resulting in effective cost saving to clients.
